Hong Kong Federation of Design and Creative Industries (FHKDCI)

The Hong Kong Federation of Design Associations (FHKDA) was established in 2000, and renamed The Hong Kong Federation of Design and Creative Industries (FHKDCI) in 2021. It acts as a platform to discuss design, education, cultural policy and infrastructure development, and for the industry to express ideas and opinions to the government. Over the last decade, the Federation has focused on facilitating intercity exchange programmes and communication, as well as fostering collaboration between designers and brands from around the region.

The Design Alliance Asia (tDA Asia)

The Design Alliance Asia (tDA Asia) is one of the principal collaborative networks of designers across fourteen regions and countries in Asia with a shared vision of advancing Asian identity as a vital cultural force and a strategic platform for design. The tDA Asia is committed to working with organisations that specialised in design, research, education, art and cultural exchange with a focus on Asia and the changing lifestyles of its people.

Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI)

Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) is a member of VTC Group. HKDI was established in 2007 with the mission to be a leading provider of design education and lifelong learning, including architecture, interior and product design, communication design, digital media and fashion and image design. With a view to providing professional designers for the creative industries, it promotes the “think and do” approach and encourages interdisciplinary synergy in its broad range of design programmes that cultivate students’ cultural sensitivities and sense of sustainability. HKDI maintains a strong network with industry and provides its students with essential practical experience. Overseas exchanges are actively arranged for students to broaden their horizons and international perspectives.

Create Hong Kong (CreateHK)

Create Hong Kong (CreateHK) is a dedicated office set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in June 2009 to spearhead the development of creative industries in Hong Kong. From 1 July 2022 onwards, it is under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau. Its strategic foci are nurturing talent and facilitating start-ups, Exploring markets, promoting cross-sectoral and cross-genre collaboration, and promoting Hong Kong as Asia’s creative capital and fostering a creative atmosphere in the community.
